Elephant Seal Rookery
Elephant seals come and go at Piedras Blancas in December through March, the birthing and breading season. A boardwalk offers a safe, close-up view, and docents from Friends of the Elephant Seal provide information.

The Fabing-McKay-Spanne House
Built in 1875 by Henry Fabing, this Victorian home now houses the Lompoc Valley Histoircal Society. It was the first two-story home in Lompoc and is furnished in the early 1900's style. Entering the home takes on back in time.

Figueroa Mountain
February through April, the slopes of the Figueroa Mountain turn into colorufl fields of Califronia poppies, owl"s clover, fiddlenecks and lupines. Camp overnight and enjoy hiking trails, historic mines and pioneer homesteads. Fishing is avaliable.

Flower Field Tours
Lompoc's flower fields begin blookimg in late May with the peak in mid to late June with continued blooming until August. Some isolated fields may be in bloom as late as October.

Monarch Butterflies

Ostich Land
Ostich Land is a 33- acre breeding farm with more than 100 birds. Kids enjoy the back pen that houses a motley crew of gawking baby ostriches. There is also a smattering of emu on property. A small store of sells eggshell paintings, fresh ostrich meat and other souvenirs. This land can be seen in the hit movie Sideways.

Santa Manuela Schoolhouse
Built in 1901, this one-room schoolhouse was moved in 1999 to Short Street at the south end of the Swinging Bridge. Now completely restored, the schoolhosue includes student chairs, chalkboards, maps, books and other historical furnishings.
